About the project

Scripted speech sounds scripted — and AI trained on it does too. What language technology actually needs is the real thing: two people talking naturally about travel plans, a series they're watching, how work is going.

This project records exactly those conversations, in German and Spanish, at studio quality. Sessions run about two hours per pair, conducted remotely. There's no script and no acting — the topics are everyday, the tone is yours. If you've done voice work, podcasting or audio production before, your setup already qualifies you.

What you'll do

Join remote recording sessions and hold natural, unscripted conversations
Cover everyday topics: travel, culture, lifestyle, tech, hobbies, work
Record roughly 2 hours per pair, following clear audio guidelines
Deliver clean WAV audio: 48 kHz, 16-bit, mono, no clipping or echo

Who we're looking for

Native or fluent German speakers (in Germany) and Spanish speakers (in Spain)
Naturally conversational people — you carry a chat, not a monologue
Prior experience in voice recording, dubbing, podcasting or audio production preferred

Requirements

Studio-quality microphone and a quiet, treated recording space
Reliable internet for online sessions
Ability to keep consistent audio quality across a full session
Paid per completed session; shortlisting happens after application
