Privacy Policy

ConsultBae Gigs (the “Platform”), operated by ConsultBae India Pvt. Ltd. (“we”, “our”, “us”), connects freelancers and vendor partners with AI data-collection and annotation projects. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

We collect the information you provide and the information needed to run the Platform:

• Account details: name, email address, phone number (and country code), optional WhatsApp number, and your account role (freelancer or vendor). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored only as secure hashes.
• Freelancer profile: full name, date of birth, gender, ethnicity (optional), country and city, native and other languages with proficiency, and annotation/work skills.
• Vendor profile: company name, website, location, number of employees, point-of-contact details, supported modalities, task types, languages covered, workforce type, and operational regions.
• Payment preferences: the payout details you choose to provide so we can process payments for completed work.
• Platform activity: project applications, invitation responses, assignment history, notifications, and support requests.
• Security & audit data: email-verification status, sign-in activity, and administrative audit logs used to keep accounts and data secure.
• Connected accounts: when you choose to link a third-party login (e.g., Google or Discord, where offered), we receive a basic identifier such as your Discord ID/username or Google account email.

• Create and authenticate your account and verify your email.
• Review and approve registrations and assess eligibility for projects.
• Match you with relevant projects and manage applications, invitations, and rosters.
• Process and track payouts for completed work.
• Send transactional and platform notifications (e.g., approvals, invitations, status updates).
• Maintain security, prevent misuse, and keep audit logs of administrative actions.
• Comply with legal, tax, and operational obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We rely on a small set of processors to operate the Platform. They process data on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (account, profile, and platform data).
• Resend — delivery of transactional emails such as verification and password-reset messages.
• Netlify — hosting and content delivery for the web application.
• Google and Discord — only if and when you choose to use their sign-in or account-linking features.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — bot and abuse protection on the sign-in and sign-up forms, where enabled.

We use your browser’s local storage to keep you signed in (your authentication session) and to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme. Some values are stored temporarily during signup. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and the Platform does not currently include analytics trackers.

Access within the Platform is role-based: internal staff can access only the areas needed for their work, enforced by database-level security policies. We share information with the service providers listed above, and we may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Platform.

Platform data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) in India, in the AWS Mumbai (ap-south-1) region. Transactional email, hosting, and optional sign-in providers may process limited data in other regions under their own safeguards. If you access the Platform from outside India, your information may be processed in India and by the providers listed above.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, resolve disputes, process payments, and meet legal obligations. Certain records (for example, payment and tax-related records) may be retained for the periods required by applicable Indian law even after account closure. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymise your data except where we are required to retain it.

Subject to applicable law — including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and you can update much of your profile directly in the app. To make a request, contact us at the address below.

We protect data using authenticated access, row-level database security, role-based permissions, and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to limit access to what each role genuinely needs.

The Platform is intended for adults (18 and over). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by notifying you in the app.
