About the project

"Where is my order?" — millions of support calls start that way, and AI that handles them needs to learn from conversations that sound genuinely spontaneous, not read off a page.

This project builds a validated dataset of unscripted, inbound customer-support interactions in the e-commerce domain, in English and Hindi. Working in pairs (customer and support executive), you'll improvise realistic scenarios — a delayed delivery, an app stuck on "out for delivery", a refund question — and record them to studio spec with separated audio channels.

What you'll do

• Improvise realistic customer ↔ support-executive conversations — no scripts
• Cover everyday e-commerce scenarios: order status, delivery delays, refunds
• Record clean, two-channel audio (customer and agent isolated) plus a mixed stereo track
• Deliver 48 kHz, 16-bit files that pass validation

Who we're looking for

• Fluent English and Hindi speakers based in India
• Natural improvisers — people who can be a mildly annoyed customer or a patient support agent convincingly
• Experience with voice recording, transcription or audio editing is a plus

• Laptop with a recording setup capable of channel-separated capture
• Quiet recording environment
• Ability to follow technical delivery specs consistently
• Paid per accepted audio volume

Are these real customer calls?

No — every conversation is simulated between project participants. No real customers, orders or businesses are involved. Realism comes from your improvisation, not from real data.

I don't have a partner for the two roles. Can I still apply?

Yes. Apply individually — pairing into customer/agent duos happens during onboarding, and you'll typically record both roles across sessions.

How technical is the audio setup?

Moderately — the deliverable is two isolated tracks plus a stereo mix at 48 kHz/16-bit. If you've multitrack-recorded anything before, you're fine; setup guidance is provided for capable beginners.
